UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay

The UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay is a 650,000 sq ft, OSHPD, integrated hospital complex located within San Francisco’s Mission Bay redevelopment zone. The hospital includes the 183-bed UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital at Mission Bay with an urgent care/emergency department, pediatric primary care, and specialty outpatient care, the UCSF Women’s Specialty Hospital with 36 beds, cancer care, specialty surgery, and birth center and the UCSF Cancer Hospital at Mission Bay, which houses 70 beds and offer inpatient and outpatient surgery for cancer specialties. The hospital houses state of the art advanced mechanical systems along with the highest standards of energy efficiency, seismic safety and sustainability for any 21st century hospital in California. BMC provided complete installations of the Med-Gas, Sanitary Waste and Vent, Storm, Domestic Cold Water, High Pressure Cold Water, Hot Water Supply and Return, Condensate, and Booster Pump plumbing systems. The project is pursuing a LEED® Gold certification with the U.S. Green Building Council.
