Tassafaronga Village

Tassafaronga Village is a 240,000 sq ft, mixed-income, green neighborhood development situated on seven-and-a-half acres in the southern end of Oakland.  The project consisted of the demolition & remediation of an 87-unit deteriorated public housing development to be replaced with the construction of 157 affordable apartments for low-income families & individuals. The project also contains a new medical clinic housed in an adapted building that formerly housed a pasta factory.  BMC provided complete installation of the residential fan coil HVAC units as well as the Sanitary Waste and Vent, Storm, and Domestic Cold Water plumbing systems. Tassafaronga Village has been certified LEED® ND Gold for Neighborhood Development, and the individual homes are pursuing LEED® for Homes Platinum certification.
